I think it's because he looks so serious on most of the pose you show us, but the lighter pose (less detailed) looks alot more kid like.
I like the middle-bottom the most ^^

second in the first row is kinda neat too, but others dont have the 'naruto' feeling to them. though they're all beautiful drawings.
also the first one is kinda dodgy because you wouldn't want too many things dangling from you if you're a ninja.. but none the less, lovely char. concepts!
